Bread of Stone
Bread of Stone
With a new range of vocals, talent and tour experience, Bread of Stone hits the mark with their highly anticipated, long awaited third album, "Saturate" produced by Grammy award winner Tedd T. (Mute Math, TobyMac, Britt Nicole,) and Lynn Nichols (Delirious, The Elms.)

Indonesian brothers Ben and Bill Kristijanto along with their other band mates Tim Barnes (bass) and Wesley Holt (drums) showcased their musical maturity from the previous albums showing the transparency of the guys. Their goal is to share what God has been doing in their lives personally and as a group.

The pop/ rock 5 song EP features "Beautiful," the first single released to radio, which was inspired after a trip to Indonesia. "The song was lyrically inspired by one of the lessons learned there," said lead singer, Ben Kristijanto. "We spoke to a recent convert named Abraham and he told us that when he heard about the Gospel of Christ, he was in awe of how someone so great would come down for someone like him and take his desperate and bleak situation and turn into something beautiful." Other songs included on the EP: It's Time to Live, Parachute, The Answer, and the title track, Saturate.

Also when the band recently visited Indonesia to do mission work, something started stirring within them - a passion and love for their fellow countrymen started growing and a new vision emerged, "The Light Project." "This ministry was something we started in order to reach out to the unfortunate community in Indonesia," said guitarist, Bill Kristijanto. "We are working in partnership with a local church in Surabaya to help spread the love of Christ, one community at a time, more specifically, the scavengers."

The Light Project provides food, transportation, and other necessities to the unfortunate community in Indonesia. They work with the poorest of the poor. They share God's love through action and deed, and through individual and personal encounters. As St. Francis of Assisi once said, "Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.".

Bread of Stone has toured with some of the top names in Christian music including the Newsboys, Stellar Kart, DecembeRadio, Petra, Building 429, and many others. This Spring, the group will be touring with Superchick.
Skylar Kaylyn
Christian singer/songwriter Skylar Kaylyn was born in 1996 in Mission Viejo, CA, spending most of her life growing up in a small town in Wyoming. She has loved music and has been writing songs since before she could walk or talk, and says, “It’s all I remember.” She has acted, sung, and danced in her community since she was 6, singing and acting in her church from a very young age, and, after teaching herself how to play guitar when she was 12, she has helped to lead worship during church and youth group meetings.

Her mother, Summer, started a song and dance group in 2007, which performed at their home church and around their town at community events for many years. The group started going to a Christian dance festival in California every year, and God started opening doors to her music ministry with the connections they made at that festival.

In 2011, Skylar Kaylyn started moving forward with her very first solo album project. She released her album titled, "La La La," in December of 2012 and has since enjoyed a traveling ministry of sharing her music at churches, youth retreats and camps, festivals and community outreach. She has opened for bands such as Citizen Way, Unspoken, Chris August and Jonny Diaz, developing friendships and soaking up generous encouragement and advice.

With the December 2014 release of her second album of all original songs titled, “In My Head,” Skylar Kaylyn weaved the musical thoughts from "in her head" with the talent of Nashville producers and musicians to create a refreshing and deeply inspirational compilation. While much of this project was done over Skype, Nashville, TN, producer Eric Copeland of Creative Soul Records brought in such talent as musicians Dave Cleveland (guitar), Steve Brewster (drums), Gary Lunn & Danny Lannerghty (bass), Jason Webb and Blair Matthews (keyboards), at the same time sharing his own talent on keyboards and tapping into the creative genius of Steve Dady at Sunset Blvd Studios, engineer/producer/musician extraordinaire Jonathan Crone, and photographer Erick Anderson through the lens of his camera and design work.

Skylar Kaylyn has performed at Christian music festivals and events all across the United States, including the Ingite Festival in Meadville, PA, Nehemiah Fest in Smitheville, MO, Hills Alive in Rapid City, SD, Reach Out Music Fest in Cortez, CO, Connection Music Fest in Norwalk, IA, and LifeLight of Sioux Falls, SD. In 2015, she performed on the LifeLight main stage after winning a regional Christian Festival Association talent competition. She was also very excited to share the stage with Citizen Way and the Florida band, Cadence, for the historic Red Rocks Easter Sunrise Service in Colorado in 2015.
Skylar Kaylyn’s third album titled, "This is Love," released in October of 2016 with the help of talented Nashville producers, Riley Friesen and Nathan Dantzler, and the talented graphics designer, Sherlan Gittens of SVG Graphics. Gathering love songs she had written for family and friends on different occasions, she compiled those songs with some written of her own love story, as well as songs about God’s love for us and our love for Him. She played multiple instruments that she had never picked up before, including the banjo and accordion. Skylar was also very honored to have Jon Steingard of Hawk Nelson sing with her on the title track, "This is Love.” She was privileged to finally meet him when they both performed at LifeLight the month before the album release.

Touring with the Iowa band Bread of Stone in the summer of 2013, Skylar Kaylyn was profoundly impacted by their hard work ethic and talents, their love for the Lord and others, and their desire and efforts to serve anyone with whom they come in contact. A year later, meeting back up with Bread of Stone for a festival tour, she met her husband-to-be, the band’s new drummer. Upon getting married in the spring of 2017, she will be joining the Bread of Stone family and ministry, touring with them, helping with their production company, and continuing to sing and serve anywhere she can. Skylar Kaylyn wants to thank all her amazing fans for their constant support, and hopes they will continue joining her on this ever-changing journey of life and ministry!
